"Yoga for the Soul" in LaSalle Ontario unveils new work by Dawn Banning this month becoming a new corporate collector!

"Daybreak" is a great example of how Dawn can interpret corporate spaces, whether it be clinic, office, or a serene setting like a yoga studio.

"Yoga for the Soul" Studio evokes a tranquility magnified by the Studio's a teachers. The warm glow of the walls, honeyed wood floor, and simple elegant décor invites practitioners to relax and focus.

"Day Break" was created specifically to enhance these qualities for the Studio.

There is an intentional softness to the painting. It is visible in the shapes, gentle curving lines, flowing like breath. Soft, warm light heating rocks, and moss of the forest floor.

There is strength in the softness as well, a power untapped, much like our own potential, in abundance. Under-layers of bolder sienna, hints of red and umber represent earth & energy.

The viewer is invited to absorb that energy, to feel the ethereal light on their face, shining thru the forest. Listen to the water flowing down, tumbling over rocks. Fluid and nourishing. There is a sense of soothing renewal in the forest.

Each viewer is invited to enjoy their own experience with the painting. My intention is they will be transported, perhaps to a place of serene sanctuary, power, comfort and inspiration.
